Paperfly Scores BDT 100 Crore Investment
Paperfly, the leading startup investment, almost brought in BDT 100 Crore from Ecom Express. In recent years, Bangladesh has been progressing in terms of e-commerce deliveries. Ecom Express is entering into the market of Bangladesh for the first time outside of India with this investment into Paperfly.
Paperfly Scores BDT 100 Crore Investment
The first logistics-technology company originating from Bangladesh is Paperfly. Sources have stated that the seed investment will be used in transforming its logistics. The startup plans to develop automation and data sciences that would be intelligence-driven.
The investment from Ecom Express’s part will boost Paperfly’s contribution regarding logistics systems and advanced supply chain. This will ensure growth in terms of warehouse management and delivery systems. It will also include multifaceted logistics and supply chain operations.
This investment is bound to enable the company in reaching its goals. This will aid the startup to keep up with the fast increase of demand in Bangladesh for logistics services. Paperfly issued a press release regarding this investment pull from Ecom Express.
One of the co-founders, Rahath Ahmed stated,
“There is a lot to be done, not only in e-commerce logistics but also in the traditional courier arena in terms of cost efficiency and customer service, backed up by tech play that can delight the users. Our aim is to establish Paperfly as the largest network of connected logistics, which is able to meet the need of any enterprise, customer, or e-commerce. This deal with Ecom Express is a big step forward and proof of the credibility that we have built over the years.”
Paperfly offers an integrated doorstep delivery fusing warehouse facilities and fulfillment facilities. This has proven to be very efficient. The startup started its journey in February 2016. They cover a highly efficient cash-on-delivery service. As a 3PL, they also handle a massive amount of e-commerce volume in Bangladesh. As of 2016, they had 80 delivery points, the company had plans to double that amount by 2020.
